Bob Flick is an American folk singer and one of the founding members of the folk singing group ‘The Brothers Four’. With a career spanning over six decades, Flick’s band has released numerous chart-topping singles, including the popular track ‘Greenfields’. Despite his low profile, Flick gained attention after his marriage to actress Loni Anderson.

Bob Flick has been part of the iconic folk group named ‘The Brothers Four’ since its launch in 1957. The group was set up by Flick and three of his friends from the University of Washington: John Paine, Mike Kirkland, and Dick Foley. Musicians like Bob Haworth, Tom Coe, Terry Lauber, Mike McCoy, Mark Pearson, and Karl Olsen have also been part of the group at different times.

As part of the group, Bob Flick released numerous hit singles including ‘Greenfields’ (1960), which topped the music chart in Norway and peaked at the #2 spot in the US Billboard Hot 100. The group’s 1961 album, ‘B.M.O.C. (Best Music On/Off Campus),’ was also a major hit and reached the #4 spot in US. One of the singles from this album, ‘The Green Leaves Of Summer,’ featured in the top 10 list in Norway and reached the #65 spot in the US Billboard Hot 100.

In 1962, The Brothers Four recorded the title song for the Hollywood film, ‘Five Weeks in a Balloon.’ Along with Jerry Dennon, the group members started a radio station in Seaside, Oregon (KSWB) in 1968. The station was sold to another group in 1972. Even more than 60 years of its formation, the group continues to be active as of today.

Bob Flick has always maintained a private life and it was only in the last decade that his personal life came to the limelight after he married the beautiful actress Loni Kaye Anderson in 2008. He is the actress’ fourth husband. The couple had first met in 1963, at a movie premiere in Minneapolis. Over the years, they lost touch with each other and met again at a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) education campaign in Seattle, where Anderson appeared as a spokesperson.
