In 2015, Ylona Garcia auditioned for the opportunity to be a housemate on the reality television series ‘Pinoy Big Brother’. She impressed the judges with her singing, acting, and dancing skills, as well as her confidence and candid remarks. She entered the house on the second day of the competition and even wrote two original songs during her time there. These songs, ‘Win the Fight’ and ‘Magmahal Muli’, were included in the Extended Play ‘PBB 737’ and released on Spotify. Garcia survived four eviction nights and emerged as one of the four finalists with 19.84% of the public vote. She ultimately became the season’s first runner-up.
After her stint on ‘Pinoy Big Brother’, Garcia appeared in the romantic comedy film ‘Trending: Love’ and played the character Sophie Mendoza. She then went on to star in the romantic comedy television series ‘On the Wings of Love’ and became a host for the musical variety show ASAP.
