Career

Bryce Papenbrook began his career in 2000 with a small role in the anime ‘Trigun’. However, he had to wait almost four years before landing his next opportunity. In 2004, he voiced the character ‘Shugo Kunisaki’ in the anime ‘.hack//Legend of the Twilight’. Since then, he has worked on over 40 productions, including ‘MÄR’ (2007), ‘Noein’ (2007), ‘Kekkaishi’ (2010), ‘Vampire Knight Series’ (2010), ‘Durarara!!’ (2011), ‘Marvel Anime: Blade’ (2012), ‘Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan’ (2012), ‘Digimon Fusion’ (2013), ‘Durarara!!×2’ (2015-16), and ‘BlazBlue Alter Memory’ (2015).

Personal Life

Bryce Papenbrook was born on February 24, 1986, in West Hills, California. Both of his parents, Debbie Rothstein and Bob Papenbrook, were voice artists who inspired Bryce to pursue a career in the same field. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

From a young age, Bryce has been involved in athletics and has trained in martial arts for over sixteen years. He received training in the Chuck Norris system of ‘Tang Soo Do’, also known as ‘American Tang Soo Do’. He initially trained under his personal instructor Steve Clark and later earned his fourth-degree black belt under former Chuck Norris black belt Dennis Ichikawa.

Bryce has also competed in over 60 kickboxing fights and is a three-time kickboxing champion. After a successful career in the sport, he became a kickboxing instructor at the House of Champions Academy of Martial Arts in Van Nuys, California.

In a private ceremony, Bryce married Samantha Papenbrook, and they have a daughter named Ella, who was born in 2015. Currently, Bryce resides in Los Angeles, California with his family.
