Claire Hosterman’s Journey to Stardom
Claire Hosterman, the older sister of Dove Hosterman, had always been close to her younger sibling. While Dove achieved great success in her acting career in Hollywood, Claire took a different path and pursued a career in voice training. She honed her talent by studying voice formally and participating in various events. Claire’s dedication and hard work paid off when she won the Seventh Annual Amy Award for Emerging Artists in 2008, which recognized her consistent quality, creativity, exploration, and dedication in her chosen field of art. This award propelled her to direct various productions on her own, including those at Bainbridge High School and BPA.
Teaching Music and Reaching Out to the World
Claire always had a passion for teaching music and believed it was a way to help people realize their worth. She started by offering private voice lessons in her studio in Burbanks, Los Angeles, which quickly became popular among parents and young students. Encouraged by her success, she expanded her reach by offering online tutorials via Skype, allowing students from anywhere in the world to take lessons from her. Initially skeptical about the efficacy of Skype due to poor sound quality, Claire worked hard to perfect her skills and overcome the challenges of imparting online lessons. Her tailor-made lessons required a lot of hard work, but they paid off, putting her name on the world music map.
Everyone Can Sing with the Right Technique
Claire firmly believes that everyone can sing, as long as they have the right technique. She is known for her incredible patience with her students and teaches them with love and affection. The praise she receives from her students on social media, highlighting her nature and teaching approach, is what she considers her biggest reward.
Behind the Curtains
Claire Hosterman was born on March 10, 1989, in Seattle, Washington, to Phillip Alan Hosterman and Bonnie Wallace. She is seven years older than her sister, Dove. Their father was the founder of the Kandahar Trading Company, an ethnic fashion accessories company, and enjoyed playing music as a hobby. Unfortunately, their parents divorced, and their father passed away when they were young. This difficult family situation brought Claire and Dove even closer. Claire also acted as an older sister figure to Dove’s boyfriend, Ryan McCartan, although their relationship ended prematurely. Claire graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2007 and pursued a degree in anthropology at Pitzer College in California. She also became a promoter of vegetarian food through her experimentation with vegan cuisine. While not much is known about her personal life on social media, Claire is currently single.
