Davina Lucy Pascale McCall was born on October 16, 1967, in Wimbledon, London, England. Her mother, Florence (née Hennion), is French, and her father, Andrew McCall, is English. When Davina was 3 years old, her parents split, and she started living with her paternal grandparents in Surrey. Her mother, who was an alcoholic, returned to Paris, and Davina only saw her during holidays. Davina attended St. Catherine’s School and later joined the Godolphin and Latymer Girls School. She studied for nine “O” levels and two “A” levels and is fluent in both English and French.

Early Career

Davina McCall initially pursued a career in singing and even sang for a band called Lazy Bear while still in school. However, she failed to make a name for herself as a singer and decided to explore other opportunities. She worked as a booker at Models 1, managed a restaurant, and even worked as a cabaret dancer in Paris. Davina then returned to London and worked as a hostess at nightclubs. In 1991, she appeared as a dancer in Kylie Minogue’s music video for “Word Is Out.”
