Her passion for candies drove her to follow her dreams and she opened her own candy store in 2001 under the name ‘Dylan’s Candy Bar’ in New York City. She was inspired to create the store by Roald Dahl’s story of ‘Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory’ – a movie which she watched on her sixth birthday. The experience of watching the film was so exhilarating that she felt like she was in Disneyland instead of her home! Her vision and goal of merging pop candy culture, fashion, and art lends her candy store a dreamy look reminiscent of Disney movies.

Her store, that claims to be the ‘largest unique candy store in the world’, spans over fifteen thousand square feet in area and features more than 7,000 varieties of candy from all over the world, ranging from life-sized Hershey’s Kisses to Gummy Bears and M&Ms. It also offers a wide variety of gluten-free, sugar-free and nut-free treats along with candy-themed jewelry, apparel, and spa treatments. The store has been featured in many television series and films, including the movie ‘Arthur’ in which she herself had done a cameo. She has also opened stores in East Hampton, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami Beach. Her candy stores also supply candies to other wholesale venues all over the world. Her stores are frequently visited by top celebrities, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Katie Holmes and her daughter, Suri Cruise, Janet Jackson, and Madonna.

In 2010, she released a book titled ‘Dylan’s Candy Bar: Unwrap Your Sweet Life’ which was her supposed declaration of love for candy. In December 2015, she launched a foundation with the name ‘Dylan’s Candy BarN’ which is dedicated to supporting animal welfare organizations.
