Elisha Ann Cuthbert was born on November 30, 1982, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Kevin and Patricia Cuthbert. Her father was an automotive design engineer, and her mother was a housewife. She grew up in Greenfield Park, Quebec, with her younger siblings, Jonathan and Lee-Ann. Growing up in Quebec, she became fluent in French. She was a member of Girl Guides of Canada and graduated from Centennial Regional High School in 2000.
