With a bachelor’s degree in “Government & Law” from Lafayette College, Vigeland quickly rose through the ranks at TYT, starting as a political intern before becoming a political correspondent and news producer. As the main host of TYT Politics/Rebel HQ, she has gained a positive reputation for her reporting on political corruption, exposing conservative hypocrisy, and covering grassroots progressive movements across the US.

Emma Vigeland has had a diverse range of career experiences. While still in high school, she worked as a Constituent Services Intern at the office of Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand. She then went on to work as an office assistant at Mierop Design in New Jersey and as a sales associate at the Super Scoop Restaurant in Glen Ridge. In 2014, she worked as a legal intern at Morvillo LLP in New York City. She also interned for the office of legal affairs at Hunter College.

Vigeland’s interest in the TYT Network was sparked when she watched founder Cenk Uygur’s coverage of the 2016 US Presidential election. She was drawn to the network’s straightforward approach to reporting, which contrasted with the mainstream media’s focus on repetitive issues. In June 2016, she joined TYT as a political intern and quickly rose to become a political correspondent and news producer.

Vigeland has gained recognition for her reporting on political corruption, grassroots progressive movements, and conservative hypocrisy. She conducted an interview with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during her campaign for the U.S. Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district. She is currently the main host of Rebel HQ, the network’s political content channel.

Emma Vigeland was born on April 18, 1994, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. She has a younger sister. She attended Kent Place School and graduated in 2012. She then enrolled at Lafayette College, where she studied Government & Law and graduated cum laude in 2016. During her time at Lafayette, she was recognized for her academic achievements and was involved in various organizations, including the political science honors society Pi Sigma Alpha.

Vigeland is passionate about campaign finance reform and wrote her bachelor’s thesis on the topic. In her personal life, she is a sports fan and supports the New York Giants, New York Knicks, and New York Rangers. She is also a fan of the TV show Game of Thrones and considers herself a supporter of House Targaryen. She enjoys reading celebrity gossip and watching awards shows. She currently resides in New York City.

In addition to her career, Vigeland has also been involved in volunteer work. From 2013 to 2016, she volunteered as a literacy reader at the non-profit organization Reading Is Fundamental.
