Erick Brian Colon rose to fame when he participated in the Latin American talent hunt reality show La Banda in September 2015. The show, created by Ricky Martin and Simon Cowell, aimed to select members for a new pop band. At the end of each season, a new band would be launched. The first week of the show was hosted by Mexican model Alejandra Espinoza, and the band formed at the end of the season was called CNCO. Erick was selected as the fourth member of the five-member boy band, which quickly gained fame. La Banda became a major success, featuring participants from various Latin American countries. As the competition progressed, many talented musicians were eliminated until the final band was formed with highly skilled singers and instrumentalists. The final band performed the song “Devuelveme Mi Corazon,” which became famous among critics and music lovers.

Erick shares a close bond with his mother and sister, as well as his nephew Thiago. Besides his passion for music, Erick is also a talented footballer and dancer. During his school days, he actively participated in cultural events. Before joining CNCO, Erick, along with his friends Christopher Velez and Joel Pimentel, had formed his own band and performed locally.
