Career & Rise to Stardom
Gabi Butler began her cheerleading journey at the age of eight in Florida. She trained at an All-Star gym called ‘Top Gun and Trinity’ and quickly started winning championships locally. In 2010, she had the opportunity to compete at the World Championships with ‘Top Gun and Trinity’, but unfortunately, she got injured a month before the competition and couldn’t participate. This setback almost made her quit cheerleading, but her career took a turn for the better.
Gabi received an offer to join the All-Star team ‘Cali SMOED’ based in California. This new opportunity breathed new life into her cheerleading career, and she decided to leave Florida and join the team. With ‘Cali SMOED’, she went on to win the World Championships in 2013 and 2014. In 2014, she also won a jacket in the NCA along with her team. However, it was her last year with ‘Cali SMOED’. In November 2014, she joined the international team ‘Gymtyme Blink IOC5’ and has been cheering for them ever since.
Her success in cheerleading, including her two World Championship rings, and her appearances on the reality web series ‘Cheerleaders’ in 2013, turned Gabi into a star in the competitive cheerleading world. The reality series showcased her team, ‘Cali SMOED’, as they prepared for the World Championship. The first episode, ‘Eat, Sleep, Cheer’, aired on March 3, 2013, and received positive feedback from viewers. The final episode, ‘The Out of Towners’, aired on October 20, 2013.
