Gaur Gopal Das is an Indian spiritual leader, motivational speaker, and lifestyle coach. He is a former electrical engineer who gave up his worldly desires to pursue spirituality and self-realization. As a disciple of Radhanath Swami, Gaur Gopal Das has become a role model and icon for millions of people. He has given lectures in prestigious venues such as the British parliament and Google’s head office, and has traveled around the world to inspire and motivate others. In addition to his speaking engagements, Gaur Gopal Das has written several novels and books, including ‘Checkmate,’ ‘Conquest,’ and ‘Revival.’

Tenure as a Monk

In the year 1996, Gaur Gopal Das became a member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Since then, he has been actively involved in the field of spirituality and has been working towards the goal of self-realization under the guidance of his Guru Radhanath Swami.

Career as a Motivational Speaker

As a part of the ISKCON Chowpatty branch, Gaur Gopal Das has been giving lectures at companies and colleges in India and abroad. His seminars focus on topics such as happiness, success, and relationships. He has delivered a speech on ‘The Monk Who Bought a Ferrari’ at the multinational professional services firm Ernst & Young in London. Gaur Gopal Das has also spoken at numerous TEDx events and given lectures at various corporates including Barclays, Infosys, Bank of America, Macintosh, Ford, and EY.

During his visit to London in 2016, Das gave a seminar at the British parliament. In 2017, he was a motivational speaker at the Project Management National Conference held in India. He also served as a speaker at the Third International Yoga Day conducted by the Consulate General of India in Chicago. Additionally, Das has been a keynote speaker at events such as the ‘World Kidney Day’ event at Ravindra Natya Mandir, where he shared the stage with Bollywood stars Shatrughan Sinha and Shammi Kapoor.

Throughout his career, Gaur Gopal Das has received several awards from various societies and organizations. In 2016, he was honored with the Rotary International’s Super Achiever Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of spirituality. He was also awarded the ‘Danveer Karna Award’ by KIIT University for his selfless contributions to promote the ideologies of ‘Art of Giving’. Furthermore, his show was recognized as the Best Spiritual/Motivational Show on the Web at the IWM Digital Awards 2018.

Personal Life

Gaur Gopal Das was born on 24 December 1973, in Maharashtra, India. He has a sister and completed his education in electrical engineering from the College Of Engineering, Pune. In 2009, his father passed away after suffering from Parkinson’s disease. In one of his videos, Das shared that he had not spoken to his father for two years due to differences in opinion. However, upon his mother’s insistence, he started talking to him again. After becoming a monk, he realized the importance of apologizing for mistakes and forgiving others. Since then, Das has been teaching others the value of saying sorry and forgiving people.
