Childhood & Early Life
Im Si Wan was born on 1st December 1988 in Busan, South Korea. His birth name was Im Woong Jae. He showed an interest in music and arts from a young age and decided to pursue a career in the music industry. He studied at Busan Gudeok High School before attending Busan National University. After graduating, he went on to study at the University of East Broadcasting Arts and is currently studying at Woosong Information College. He is known by various names such as Lim Shi Wan, Im Si Wan, and Yim Si Wan, but his stage name is simply Si Wan.
Career
Im was recruited by Star Empire as a trainee while attending the Chin Chin Song Festival in Busan. He joined a group called ‘Children Of Empire’ and trained with them for three years before debuting as a boyband named ZE: A in 2010. He gained recognition for his role in the period drama ‘Moon Embracing The Sun’ in 2012, which helped establish his career in the acting industry. He has since appeared in various dramas and films, including ‘The Attorney’ in 2013 and ‘Misaeng’ and ‘Triangle’ in 2014. In 2017, he took on different roles in the crime caper movie ‘One Line’ and the crime action film ‘The Merciless’.

Im has been involved in various projects throughout his career. He played the role of Joseph in the Musical Theatre Play ‘Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ and was part of the variety show ‘Birth of a Family’ from 2011 to 2012.
