Career
In 1991, Jerri Manthey started working at a Hooters restaurant in Alabama before moving to one in Oklahoma City. She gained some recognition when she appeared in the HOOTERS magazine with singer Vince Gill for their summer 1992 edition.
In 2001, Manthey appeared on the TV reality show ‘Survivor: The Australian Outback’. That same year, she posed nude for Playboy magazine for their September issue. After this, she became a contestant on various reality shows including ‘The Surreal Life’, ‘The Joe Schmo Show’, and ‘Blind Date’.
In 2004, Manthey returned to ‘Survivor’ for ‘Survivor: All-Stars’ and also participated in the 20th season of ‘Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains’.
Controversies & Scandals
On March 3, 2010, Jerri Manthey was asked to leave a US Airways flight in Charlotte, North Carolina after a disagreement with the flight crew. She later posted an open letter on the company’s Facebook page, sharing her experience. It is unclear whether US Airways apologized to her or not.
Personal Life
Jerri Manthey was born on September 5, 1970, in Stuttgart, West Germany. Her father, Cyril, was a member of the US Army and served in Germany for many years. She has a sister and two brothers. Manthey attended high school in Germany and graduated in 1988. She then enrolled at the University of Maryland in Munich.
Manthey got married on July 14, 2012, in Alabama Hills, California. She is also a jewelry designer and creates unique pieces.
