Personal Life
Jillian was born on September 27, 2002, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Bill and Sharon Spaeder. Her father is a software engineer while her mother is a freelance writer. They formed the cover band Crow’s Feet along with Pat Doyle, Larry Clark, and Joe Ruggiero and often can be found performing at different clubs and venues in the Philadelphia night scene. Spaeder has two older siblings, a brother named Evan and a sister named Emma.
Growing up in a musical environment, Spaeder’s love for music was almost inherent. Her parents played important roles in developing her skills and taste in music. She began singing rather early in her life. Her love for acting, however, came later. After she started attending Sugartown Elementary School, she debuted on stage as Flea in a production of ‘Cinderella: A Musical Panto’ at the People’s Light & Theatre Company. She was 11 years old. In the following summer, she met her manager at a performing arts seminar in Hollywood. Impressed by the young artist, she offered to represent Spaeder. She was also the person who suggested to Spaeder and her parents that they should consider moving to Los Angeles. During the two months she spent in Hollywood, Spaeder gave multiple auditions.
After they moved to Los Angeles and settled in, she received training from private acting coaches and attended workshops at John D’Aquino’s Young Actors Studio. She also took lessons at The Actor’s Comedy Studio and Gray Studios. Both Spaeder and her older sister Emma have performed with Crow’s Feet. She has covered popular songs by the likes of Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, and Adele.
