Justine Musk, a Canadian author and the first wife of billionaire industrialist Elon Musk, is known for her contemporary fantasy novel, ‘BloodAngel’. Childhood & Early Life

Justine Musk, originally named Jennifer Justine Wilson, was born on September 2, 1972, in Peterborough, Central Ontario, Canada. Not much is known about her family and early life. After completing high school, she attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, where she earned a degree in English literature. Following her studies, she traveled to Japan to teach English and also spent some time in Australia.

Career

After settling in California, Justine Musk pursued her dream of becoming an author. She wrote the first draft of her book, ‘BloodAngel,’ while studying at Queen’s University. Published in 2005 by Roc Books, this dark urban fantasy novel received positive reviews. In 2007, she released her second book, ‘Uninvited,’ a paranormal fantasy that follows the story of Kelly Ruland, a girl whose life is shattered by a car accident. ‘Uninvited’ was published by MTV Books.

In 2008, Justine published the second installment of the BloodAngel series, titled ‘Lord of Bones.’ This well-received sequel brought back all the main characters from the first book. She has also contributed a short story called ‘I Need You More’ and has had her stories featured in ‘The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2: Love Bites’ (2009) and ‘Kiss Me Deadly: 13 Tales of Paranormal Love’ (2010). Justine is known for being one of the first writers to utilize platforms like Pinterest to plan out a novel.

Relationship with Elon Musk

Justine Musk and Elon Musk first met while studying at Queen’s University. They got married in 2000 and had their first child, Nevada Alexander Musk, in 2002. Unfortunately, Nevada passed away from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) just ten weeks later. All of their subsequent children were born through in vitro fertilization. Justine gave birth to twin boys, Griffin and Xavier, in 2004, and triplets, Damian, Saxon, and Kai, in 2006.

On September 13, 2008, Justine publicly announced her divorce from Elon Musk. They currently share custody of their five children. In a later article for Marie Claire, Justine extensively discussed her relationship with Musk and referred to herself as a “model ex-wife” who maintains a good relationship with Talulah Riley, Musk’s second ex-wife. Justine currently resides in Bel-Air, California.
