Challenges Posed by her Height

While growing up, Jyoti Amge faced several challenges due to her height. She struggled with tasks such as picking up things from high desks, finding items that suited her size, and especially finding dresses that fit her. As a result, she had to get custom-made clothes and jewelry and could not use normal-sized utensils. However, once she became popular, stores near her house started informing her about new stocks of clothes and other items that might suit her. Despite this, she often felt frustrated when strangers treated her like a baby or a doll. On many occasions, she has even been mistaken for a child and picked up by strangers. Currently, her main challenge is related to her bones, as they are becoming more and more brittle with each passing year. This has caused concern for her family, who always accompany her during her travels. Her older sister Archana feels responsible for taking care of her younger sister as their parents are aging. Despite the challenges, Jyoti is proud of her height as being in the Guinness Book of Records has allowed her to visit various places.
