Kia May Pegg was born on June 29, 2000, in Birmingham, England. Her father, Jonathan Pegg, is a boxing trainer and promoter, and her mother is Rachel Pegg. She has two younger brothers, Jack and Joe. Pegg attended Gossey Lane Junior School for her early education and later went on to attend CTC Kingshurst Academy.
From a very young age, Pegg received stage training at the Birmingham Stage School Showbiz. Her drama teacher recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue acting seriously. Pegg found it easy to memorize lines and enjoyed being in front of the camera more than being on stage.

In 2008, at the age of 8, Kia Pegg made her debut on TV, playing the role of Barbara in an episode of the TV series “The Legend of Dick and Tom” on the CBBC network. In 2010, she had a small appearance in the comedy-drama movie “Toast,” where she played a primary school girl.
