Relationship with Randy Moss
Libby Offutt became pregnant with Moss’ child while studying at ‘DuPont High School.’ She gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Sydney Nikale Moss, on March 6, 1994. Offutt was in her senior year at the time of her daughter’s birth. The racial taunts, that Offutt and Moss faced, intensified after the birth of their child. When he reacted to one such comment, Moss found himself in the middle of a nasty fight which eventually ruined his chances of playing football for ‘Notre Dame’ as it cost him his scholarship to ‘Notre Dame.’ He even spent three days in jail for getting involved in the fight in 1995.
Libby Offutt and Randy Moss made headlines once again in 1996 when they were arrested for domestic violence. Offutt later claimed that they had a heated argument, which turned into a fight and that Moss threw hot water at her during the quarrel. Despite their tumultuous relationship, Offutt and Moss went on to have four more children, namely Senali, Thaddeus, Montigo, and Sylee. They then went their separate ways and Moss went on to marry a woman named Lydia.
In December 2016, Moss took to his official Twitter page to criticize Libby Offutt. He claimed that Offutt had spent $4 million on drugs, and that she turned down professional help. He also said that she abandoned their children which forced him to give up his football career to raise the children. In January 2017, Offutt denied Moss’ claims. She said that Moss had falsely accused her to keep her away from her children. She even claimed that Moss and Lydia prohibited her from seeing her children.
