CareerMandla had the opportunity to participate in ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors’, a spin-off of the popular series ‘Dancing with the Stars’ that focuses on child celebrities. The first season of the show aired from October 7, 2018, to December 9. Mandla was joined by other young celebrities such as Addison Osta Smith, Tripp Johnston Palin, Hudson West, Sophia Pippen, and Alana Thompson.

Mandla was paired up with competitive dancer Brightyn Brems, and their mentor was Cheryl Burke, a previous winner of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Throughout the season, they performed various dance styles, including jive, salsa, jazz, Charleston, cha-cha-cha, foxtrot, and pasodoble. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in week seven after performing pasodoble to 2WEI’s ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’.

Mandla also made his film debut in the 2018 movie ‘A Star is Born’. Directed by Bradley Cooper, the film is a remake of the 1937 film of the same name. It has been remade twice before in Hollywood, in 1954 and 1976. In the movie, Mandla made a cameo appearance alongside stars like Lady Gaga, Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chappelle, and Sam Elliott.

Mandla was born on May 13, 2005, in the United States of America, which also happens to be his father Stevie Wonder’s birthday. In Zulu language, Mandla means “Powerful” or “Defiant”, while Kadjaly means “Born from God” in Swahili. He is Stevie Wonder’s seventh child.

Stevie Wonder, whose birth name is Stevland Hardaway Morris, is a renowned musician and political activist. He has achieved great success in his career, with over 30 US top ten hits and 25 Grammy awards. Wonder has been married three times and has nine children with five different women.

Mandla’s mother’s identity has not been disclosed, but he has siblings named Aisha, Mumtaz, Sophia, Kwame, Kailand, and Nia.
