Before Birth
Before Max’s birth, his parents, Christina and Jordan, met in 2002 and began dating shortly after. They got engaged in 2005 and married on November 19 of the same year.
Pregnancy Announcement
In 2007, Christina announced her pregnancy with Max. She discovered she was pregnant during her ‘Back to Basics’ world tour and speculated that she may have conceived during a stop in Washington while touring the US. Initially, Christina felt uncomfortable announcing her pregnancy to her fans and did not reveal the news until her friend Paris Hilton did it for her at an event. Rumors of her pregnancy had already surfaced in June 2007, but Christina officially broke the news in November of that year. She gave an exclusive interview with ‘Marie Claire’ where she revealed the gender of the baby and did a maternity photoshoot for the magazine’s cover when she was 7 months pregnant.
Birth
Max was born on January 12, 2008, at 10:05 pm in Los Angeles. He was delivered via C-section at ‘Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’ and weighed 6 lbs. and 2 oz. at birth. Max is of Ecuadorian, German, Irish, Welsh, and Dutch descent from Christina’s side and American from Jordan’s side. His parents chose the name “Max” and his middle name, “Liron,” honors Jordan’s background and means “my song” or “my joy” in Hebrew.
Early Life
Max’s first pictures were sold to ‘People’ magazine for $1.5 million, making them the fifth-most expensive celebrity baby photos ever sold. In April 2008, Max had his first photoshoot, wrapped in an American flag with Christina for a ‘Rock the Vote’ PSA in Los Angeles. His nursery, designed by Patrick Ediger, took over 4 months to complete and featured wooden floors, a round crib, and an 11-foot-tall moon. The walls had murals inspired by Christina’s favorite artist, TODA. The furniture in the room was from ‘Bel Bambini.’
Career and Divorce
Max made his first TV appearance in 2012 on the series ‘Dateline NBC’ and later appeared in the music video for Christina’s song ‘Let There Be Love’ in 2013. Christina mentioned that Max has a flexible body and may pursue a career as an acrobat.
Christina and Jordan divorced in 2011, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was announced in late 2010 and finalized in April 2011. Christina filed for joint legal and physical custody of Max, but Jordan wanted to avoid a nasty legal battle for the sake of their son. They now share custody of Max.
New Family
