Mia Abagale Tallarico was born on December 22, 1978, at the ‘Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’ in Hanover, New Hampshire, US. Her father, Steven Tyler, is the lead singer of the rock band ‘Aerosmith.’ Her mother, Cyrinda Foxe, was an American actor, model, and publicist. Mia also has two half-siblings: Liv Tyler, who is her paternal half-sister, and Chelsea and Taj, who are her half-siblings from her father’s marriage to Teresa Barrick. The song ‘Mia’ from the album ‘Night in the Ruts’ was written by Steven Tyler and named after his daughter. Her parents divorced in 1987 and Mia moved to New York City with her mother in 1990. Her mother was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 1997 and passed away in 2002.

Mia started her career as a plus-size model and was managed by ‘Wilhelmina Models.’ She appeared as a VJ on the MTV show ‘House of Style’ when she was 17 years old.
