Career in Music

Nia Peeples began her music career as a member of the performance group called The Young Americans. In 1988, she released her first album titled ‘Nothin’ But Trouble’, which included the single ‘Trouble’ that reached No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She followed this up with another album titled ‘Nia Peeples’, which featured the hit song ‘Street Of Dreams’. In 2007, she released her album ‘Songs of the Cinema’.

Acting Career

Nia Peeples made her acting debut in the 1981 TV movie ‘A Single Light’, where she portrayed a deaf girl. She then appeared in the drama series ‘General Hospital’ in 1983. That same year, she was cast as Nicole Chapman in the series ‘Fame’. She also starred in the film ‘North Shore’. In 1989, she appeared in the film ‘DeepStar Six’ and the TV movie ‘Nasty Boys’. Four years later, she acted in the miniseries ‘Return to Lonesome Dove’. She played Dr. Elizabeth English in the TV film ‘Mr. Stitch’ in 1995. Peeples went on to appear in TV movies such as ‘Odd Jobs’ and ‘Tower of Terror’, and played the role of Sydney Cooke in the drama series ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’. In 2002, she appeared in the film ‘Half Past Dead’ and guest-starred in the dramas ‘Andromeda’ and ‘The Division’ in 2004. Nia Peeples was born on December 10, 1961, in Hollywood, California, USA. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Joan and Robert Eugene Peeples and has two sisters named Paula and Cynthia. She attended West Covina High School and later went on to study at UCLA.

In terms of her personal life, Peeples has been married four times. Her first marriage was to actor Guy Ecker, which ended in divorce. She then married singer-songwriter Howard Hewett, but that marriage also ended in divorce. Her third and fourth marriages were to Lauro Chartrand and Sam George respectively, both of which ended in divorce as well. Peeples is currently single and has two children, a son named Christopher and a daughter named Sienna.
