Nora Arnezeder developed an interest in acting at a very tender age. She began by acting in local stage shows and eventually moved on to the big screen. She received her first big break in 2008, in the French romantic film ‘Faubourg 36’ (also known as ‘Paris 36’). Arnezeder played the character of ‘Douce’ in the film and was nominated at the Lumiere Awards and the Étoiles d’Or Awards for the Most Promising Young Actress/Newcomer; she ended up winning both the awards. Interestingly, it was not only her acting that mesmerized the audience; she also performed the original song ‘Loin de Paname’, composed by Reinhardt Wagner, in the film. The song was nominated at the 82nd Academy Awards for the Best Original Song.
Her next big role came in another French drama film titled ‘What the Day Owes the Night’. She portrayed the character of ‘Émilie Cazenave’, one of the leads in the film, which was well-received by the critics despite failing at the box office. Arnezeder appeared in the psychological film ‘Maniac’ as ‘Anna D’Antoni’, a photographer who meets a psycho killer and goes through a horrific experience herself.
