Ruggero Pasquarelli is an Italian actor, singer, TV presenter, and dancer. He gained recognition for his participation in the fourth series of the Italian talent show ‘X Factor’ and his roles in the Argentine television series ‘Violetta’ and ‘Soy Luna’. Starting his artistic journey in Città Sant’Angelo, Italy, Ruggero began taking guitar and acting lessons before expanding his skills to include piano and singing. He joined the local rock band ‘65013’ during high school and successfully auditioned for ‘X Factor’ in his final year. Although he finished in sixth place, Ruggero’s talent was undeniable. He went on to star as Tom in the Italian TV series ‘In Tour’ and as Federico in the Argentine telenovela ‘Violetta’, earning him an award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Argentina. Currently, Ruggero portrays the main character Matteo Balsano in the popular Argentine telenovela ‘Soy Luna’, which has already garnered him multiple awards at the Kids’ Choice Awards Colombia and Argentina.

Childhood & Early Life
Ruggero Pasquarelli was born on September 10, 1993, in Città Sant’Angelo, Italy. His family is originally from Naples. He has a brother named Leonardo. Ruggero started singing and dancing at the age of six and began taking guitar lessons and attending acting school in 2004. He later started singing classes in 2008 and learned to play the piano in 2009. He studied at the pedagogical liceo in high school, specializing in Arts and Entertainment. During this time, he also became involved with a local rock band called ‘65013’ as a singer.
Career
In 2010, Ruggero auditioned for the fourth series of the Italian singing competition ‘X Factor’ and was selected as a member of the “Boys” category. He sang various songs throughout the competition and remained safe for the first six weeks. He landed in the bottom two in the seventh and tenth weeks but managed to avoid elimination. However, he was eventually eliminated from the competition. After ‘X Factor’, Ruggero became the presenter of the television talent show ‘Social King 2.0’ in 2011. He also appeared in the Italian comedy series ‘In Tour’ and landed a recurring role in the Argentine telenovela ‘Violetta’.
Ruggero moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to film ‘Violetta’ and his recurring role of Federico became a main character in the third season. He won a Kids’ Choice Awards Argentina for his performance in the show. He also participated in the program ‘Get the Party’ and performed in various concerts and events. In 2016, Ruggero began starring in the Disney Channel Latin America telenovela ‘Soy Luna’ as the main character Matteo Balsano. The show has been renewed for a third season and has gained him popularity and awards.
Personal Life
Since 2014, Ruggero has been in a relationship with Argentine actress Candelaria Molfese. They have a YouTube channel called ‘Ruggelaria’ and have gained a large following. Ruggero can speak Italian, Spanish, and is learning English. He also released a book titled ‘Mi Piace!’ in Italy in 2015.
