Ryan Sweeting began his professional tennis career as a Junior champion, winning the U.S Open Boy’s Singles Title in 2005. He achieved great success as a junior player, reaching the world number 2 ranking in the junior rankings.

While studying at the University of Florida in 2006, Sweeting played in the NCAA championships as part of the Florida Gators men’s tennis team. That same year, he made his debut in the US Open and won the first round by defeating Guillermo Coria.

From 2007 onwards, Sweeting turned fully professional and won four ProCircuit doubles titles. He continued to find success and won his first singles ProCircuit title at the Rimouski Challenger in Canada in 2008. These wins helped him achieve a ranking of 216th in the ATP World Rankings.

In 2009, Sweeting won the Dallas Challenger singles title without dropping a single set. He also reached the finals of the US Men’s Clay Court Championship in Houston in doubles, but lost to the world number 1 doubles players, Bob and Mike Bryan.

Sweeting’s biggest career achievement came in 2011 when he won the US Men’s Clay Court Championship in Houston, his only ATP World Tour singles title. He defeated Kel Nishikori of Japan in straight sets and reached a career-high ranking of 64.

Throughout his professional career, Sweeting served 390 aces and earned a total of $1,024,486.

Ryan Sweeting was born on July 14, 1987, in Nassau, Bahamas, and grew up in Lauderdale, Florida. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville for his higher studies.

Sweeting got engaged to actress Kaley Cuoco, known for her role as Penny in The Big Bang Theory. They got married in Santa Susana, California, on December 31, 2013, after dating for three months. However, their marriage faced difficulties, with Sweeting undergoing back surgery and allegedly developing an addiction to painkillers. They ultimately divorced in May 2015.
