Early Life & Career
Sam Branson was born on August 12, 1985, in England, to Joan Templeman and Richard Branson. In 2003, he graduated from ‘St Edward’s School’ in Oxford and then attended a cooking school called ‘Le Cordon Bleu London.’ In 2005, he enrolled at ‘Musicians Institute’ in the United States of America to learn music theory and guitar. He made his acting debut in 2006 in the role of a shuttle specialist in the Bryan Singer-directed sci-fi film ‘Superman Returns.’ In the same year, he was also seen in the Robert Meyer Burnett-directed documentary film ‘Requiem for Krypton: Making ‘Superman Returns’.’ In 2008, he appeared in a TV movie documentary titled ‘Bransons: Come Hell or High Water.’
In 2009, Branson started a production company called ‘Current Sponge,’ which was later rebranded as ‘Sundog Pictures.’ In 2010, he appeared as himself in one of the episodes of the television talk-show ‘GMTV.’ The following year, he competed in the popular reality television game show ‘Famous and Fearless.’ From 2013 to 2014, he attended the ‘Institute for Philanthropy’ to study strategic philanthropy. He currently serves as the Chairman of ‘Sundog Pictures.’ His production company often collaborates with leading broadcasters to create content that explores several social issues, such as capital punishment.
Philanthropy
In 2017, Sam Branson traveled to British Virgin Islands to help those affected by ‘Hurricane Irma’ that wreaked havoc from August 30 to September 13. He even made a documentary showing the effects of the hurricane and how people of British Virgin Islands worked toward rebuilding their lives. Apart from working closely with charitable organizations, Branson has also been on multiple environmental expeditions to the Arctic.

Sam Branson’s father, Richard Branson, is a famous business magnate who owns the ‘Virgin Group.’ In 2007, Richard was named as one of the most influential people in the world by ‘Time’ magazine. Sam Branson is close to his father. In 2018, he accompanied his father to a trek across Western Europe when the father-son duo survived falling rocks while climbing the ‘Mont Blanc’ Mountain in the Alps. Richard Branson later said that he and his son were ‘seconds away from certain death.’ Sam Branson has also encouraged his father to give meditation a try as he claims that meditation has helped him a lot to cope with stress and anxiety.
In 2013, Sam Branson married an English socialite, actress, and model named Isabella Calthorpe. In 2015, Branson and Calthorpe welcomed their first child, a daughter named Eva-Deia Branson. On January 18, 2017, the couple was blessed with a son, Bluey Branson. The family currently lives in London where Branson pursues his musical career apart from running his production company.
