Career

Shauna Robertson started her career as an assistant to producer and director Mike Binder, whom she had first met at Camp Tamakwa. The camp was memorialized in Binder’s 1993 flick ‘Indian Summer.’ Over the course of her career, she has also worked with the likes of Jay Roach, Hart Bochner, and Adam McKay.

In 2000, Robertson co-produced Jay Roach’s comedy film ‘Meet the Parents.’ While working with McKay on the fantasy comedy ‘Elf,’ she met Will Ferrell with whom she went on to work on ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,’ a comedy film. The movie received positive reviews and is today widely regarded as one of the best comedy films made in the 2000s. In the year 2004, she served as the executive producer on a direct-to-video film titled ‘Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie’.

Robertson has collaborated with actor Judd Apatow in several projects. With him, she has made a series of films, including ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin,’ ‘Superbad,’ ‘Knocked Up,’ ‘Pineapple Express’ and ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall.’

Shauna Robertson was born on December 18, 1974 in Toronto, Canada. Her father, Michael Robertson, was a minor celebrity who taught her hang-gliding while her mother is a yoga instructor. Robertson was raised alongside two sisters. Her father once did a hang-gliding show from the top of a building named CN tower. At the age of 16, she quit her studies and moved to Los Angeles.

Talking about her love life, the Canadian beauty got engaged to actor Edward Norton in 2011 after a few years of dating. The two married in 2012. As for now, the couple has a son named Atlas Norton.

Robertson thinks that her job as a female film producer is to balance out the male humor in movies. Judd Apatow believes that all the nudity in his films is a result of Robertson’s pushing him and calling him a wimp!
