Childhood & Early Life

Travis Scott, born Jacques Webster on April 30, 1992, in Houston, Texas, spent much of his early years in Missouri City with his grandmother. He later moved to the suburbs to be with his father. He attended a private school before enrolling at Elkins High School, where he graduated in 2007. He then gained admission to the University of Texas at San Antonio but dropped out in his sophomore year to pursue a career in music. His parents stopped supporting him financially due to their anger over his decision.

After dropping out of college, Travis Scott moved to New York City to start a career in music. He initially aimed to become a record producer and focused on hip-hop production.
