Vivan Bhatena is an Indian film and television actor who gained recognition through his roles in popular TV serials such as ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Time Bomb 9/11’. He made his mark in the film industry with his debut in 2007, playing the role of Abhimanyu Singh in a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Apart from his acting career, Vivan was also a successful model and won the prestigious Mr India title in 2001. Vivan Bhatena began his acting career in 2004 with a role in the Indian TV serial ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. The series, which aired from 2000 to 2008, revolved around an ideal daughter-in-law married to the grandson of a wealthy business tycoon named Govardhan Virani.

He continued to appear in other TV shows such as ‘Kkehna Hai Kuch Mujhko’ in 2004 and 2005, ‘Time Bomb 9/11’ in 2005, and ‘Chhoona Hai Aasmaan’ in 2007 and 2008.

In 2007, he made his film debut in the Hindi language sports film ‘Chak De! India’, directed by Shimit Amin. The film starred popular actor Shah Rukh Khan and other actors like Vidya Malvade, Shilpa Shukla, and Sagarika Ghatge. Bhatena had a minor role as Abhimanyu Singh, the Vice Captain of the Indian national cricket team. The film was a huge success commercially and critically.

In 2010, he appeared in the psychological thriller film ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ in a minor role. The film was directed by Vijay Lalwani and featured Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone in the main roles.

In 2012, he had a supporting role as Arman Kapoor in the psychological crime thriller ‘Talaash: The Answer Lies Within’. The film was directed by Reema Kagti and starred actors such as Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee, and Kareena Kapoor.

In 2015, he appeared in the romantic action film ‘Hero’, directed by Nikkhil Advani. It was a remake of a 1983 film of the same name directed by Subhash Ghai. However, the film was a failure at the box office and received negative reviews. He also appeared in the romantic comedy drama film ‘Katti Batti’, which was also a box office failure.

In 2016, he played the supporting role of Harkinder in ‘Dangal’, a sports film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film starred Aamir Khan in the lead role and was loosely inspired by the life of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh. ‘Dangal’ was a huge commercial success and became the highest-grossing Indian film ever. It also received positive reviews.

He made his debut in Telugu cinema in 2017 with an important role in the Telugu action-comedy film ‘Raja the Great’, directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Ravi Teja. The same year, he appeared in the action comedy film ‘Judwaa 2’, directed by David Dhawan. Although the film was a success at the box office, it received mostly negative reviews.

In 2019, he appeared in the horror film ‘Amavas’, directed by Bhushan Patel.

Vivan Bhatena was born on October 28, 1978, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Not much is known about his childhood or parents. He married Nikhila Palat in 2007, and the couple has one daughter.
