Gareth Frank Bale was born on July 16, 1989, in Cardiff, Wales, to Frank and Debbie Bale. His father worked as a caretaker in a local school, while his mother was a local operations manager. Bale attended Eglwys Newydd Primary School in Whitchurch, where he was noticed by scouts from the Southampton football club at the age of nine. After completing his primary education, he enrolled at Whitchurch High School, where he excelled in football, rugby, and hockey. Just a year after finishing high school, Bale joined the Southampton football club in 2006, becoming the second youngest player in the club’s history.
